Access the Audit Log

The Audit Log feature is a record of every action or event that has occurred in your portal. In the audit log, you can easily monitor and filter activity for users, accounts, groups, modules, and more. This includes the ability to:

  • View when a user logged in
  • View when a user completed a module
  • View when a group was added, or the group name changed
  • View when a new asset was uploaded

In this article, we will explain:

ACCESS THE AUDIT LOG


To access the Audit Log page, click the drop-down menu on the left and select the Portal Administration link (Fig. 1).

From the Portal Administration page, select the Audit Log card (Fig. 2).

FILTER BY EVENT TYPE


To filter by event type, select the preferred event from the Event Type drop-down menu (Fig. 3). Event types include:
  • LMS
  • DAM
  • Portal
  • User
  • Account
  • Group
  • Banner
  • News

FILTER BY USER


To filter by user, select the user from the Acting User drop-down menu (Fig. 4) or enter the user's name in the Acting User field (Fig. 4).

FILTER BY DATE


To filter by date, enter your preferred dates in the Start Date and End Date fields (Fig. 5). Events within that date range will be displayed.

CLEAR FILTERS


To clear all filters, select the Clear Filters button (Fig. 6)

EXPORT AND DOWNLOAD A CSV FILE


To export and download a CSV file of your audit log, click the Export to CSV button (Fig. 7). Once the export is complete, click the Download File button (Fig. 8).

The audit log is available with all plans. The Startup Plan includes 30 days of log retention. One-year log retention is available with the Professional and Enterprise plans.
